Carey village employees test new time clock

CAREY — The use of new TimeClock Plus software to track the hours of village employees was a featured topic of discussion Tuesday at the Carey Village Council meeting. The meeting opened with an administrative update where Village Administrator Roy Johnson announced the trial period for the TimeClock Plus software is currently in effect and employees will be signing in via smartphones or computers as well as timecards so accuracy with the system can be gauged.

Five file for city Republican primary seats

Based on filings for council candidacies, there will be a Republican primary in the city of Upper Sandusky on May 7. Five Republican candidates filed for three open seats on Upper Sandusky Council. They are Tom Karcher, Marc Mays, Kyle McColly, Rick Roberts and William Thornton.

The Chapter FFA Degree is the highest award an FFA chapter can bestow on its members. In order to receive the Chapter FFA Degree, members must earn a minimum of $150 or work 50 hours through their approved SAE program, complete 10 hours of documented community service, learn parliamentary procedure and participate in various FFA activities.

Bridge project to close 67 in Sycamore soon

The Ohio Department of Transportation has announced that Ohio 67 over Sycamore Creek, between Kilborn Street and Ohio 231 within the village of Sycamore, is expected to close March 4 for approximately four months during a bridge rehabilitation project.
