Family assisted after Sunday house fire The American Red Cross is assisting an Upper Sandusky family after a two-story house fire Sunday night on Sunset Drive. An Upper Sandusky Police report states an officer responded to a fire on the 500 block of Sunset Drive at approximately 9:07 p.m. Sunday. The officer observed heavy smoke traveling north across the roadway and made contact with a female resident to confirm everyone was out of the home. Read More

Nevada council considering rent increase for WEFD NEVADA — In order to cover maintenance costs, the village of Nevada is looking at increasing the rent it charges the Wyandot East Fire District for use of most of the building they share. Nevada uses only a small portion of the building on Grant Street as a village office, with the rest of the building, which includes three emergency vehicle bays, rented to the district at a cost of $100 per month.
