Three injured in two-vehicle crash in Crawford Township April 8

CAREY — Four were injured the afternoon of April 8 in a crash at the intersection of the U.S. 15 eastbound exit ramp and Ohio 103 at CH 96 in Crawford Township. Matthew P. Scalf, age 35, of Carey, was on the U.S. 15 eastbound exit ramp and turning on to Ohio 103 at CH 96 when he failed to yield the right of way to a westbound vehicle driven by Amber Scott, age 35, of Carey, striking the front side of Scott’s vehicle.

Off to state: Wynford freshmen impress at district fair

BUCYRUS — Natalie Stover and Daniel Kurek will be representing Wynford High School at the 2019 State Science Day on May 11. This is both Stover’s and Kurek’s first time competing at the state level. In fact, it is their first year competing in science fairs at all, as this was the first year Wynford held a school science fair in several years.

FOREST — The Forest-Jackson Public Library heard from the director of a nearby art museum at the 18th annual women’s luncheon fundraiser Friday afternoon. Library Director Karen Moore said money raised from the fundraiser will help the Friends of the Library purchase new blinds for the windows at the library.

ODOT announces upcoming projects

ODOT recently released a list of highway construction scheduled to occur within Wyandot County. Work is dependent upon weather conditions, and unless otherwise noted, it will take place during daytime hours.

Upper library hosts clothing swap

Another man’s treasure

For the last week, the basement of the Upper Sandusky Community Library has been closed off for sorting and sizing clothing donations for the annual clothing swap. Now, it is officially open through Saturday at noon during library hours for the community to come find clothes to fill a need or to jazz up a lackluster wardrobe.
