Invisible cattle fence is in testing stages COLUMBUS — Controlling where the cattle roam may soon get a whole lot easier. Animal science researchers with The Ohio State University College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES) will be testing a virtual fence for cows and other livestock this summer. Conservation stewardship deadline is May 10 COLUMBUS — The next deadline for Conservation Stewardship Program applications to be considered for funding in fiscal year 2019 is May 10. Carey council approves WWTP resolution CAREY — Carey councilors Monday approved a resolution with the intent to award the construction contract for the wastewater treatment plant to allow funding for the project to be considered by a state agency next month. Sparks flying: City changes fireworks supplier The City of Upper Sandusky announced a change of fireworks companies at its regularly scheduled City Council meeting Monday. Upper Sandusky Mayor Scott Washburn reported the city interviewed several fireworks companies, and Pyro Technico, a company the city has worked with in the past, gave the city a really aggressive deal to get its business back.
