Retired Seniors Volunteer Program forms advisory council for county The Retired Seniors Volunteer Program met Wednesday afternoon at the Upper Sandusky Community Library with community leaders for an informational meeting about the formation of an advisory council. RSVP Coordinator Ariel Nearhood explained the advisory council will help make decisions for Wyandot County. Nearhood said she covers the tri-county area of Huron, Seneca and Wyandot counties, but noted she can’t be everywhere at once. The goal of the council is to give the program more support. Read More
Wyandot County Veterans Service Commission hits record keeping snag The Wyandot County Veterans Service Commission discussed an issue with record keeping during it’s monthly meeting Wednesday. Fresh cut melon products recalled because of possible health risk INDIANAPOLIS — Caito Foods is voluntarily recalling fresh cut watermelon, fresh cut honeydew melon, fresh cut cantaloupe and fresh cut mixed fruit, produced at the Caito Foods facility in Indianapolis because these products have the potential to be contaminated with salmonella carrau, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.
