Groves promoted at WMH Tammy Groves, of Upper Sandusky, has been promoted to senior director of human resources at Wyandot Memorial Hospital. Groves is responsible for all aspects of personnel management, including the new hire employment process and wage and salary administration. She coordinates staff performance reviews, and assists with orientation, retention and discipline. She also manages the human resource generalist, makes assignments to the communications secretary and oversees the hospital’s volunteer program. Read More

Carey man arrested for attempt to murder A Carey man was arrested on an attempt to murder charge in Hancock County on Sunday. A news release from the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office states the sheriff’s office was dispatched to the 1800 block of TR 136 in Portage Township at 2:37 p.m. for a report of a man with a knife attempting to break into an occupied residence. A railroad worker reported two vehicles parked too close to the railroad tracks on the 100 block of East Hicks Street the afternoon of June 4. Wynford FFA travels to National, Range and Homesite Judging Contest BUCYRUS — The Wynford FFA Chapter recently went on a trip to the 2019 National Land, Range, and Homesite Judging Contest in Oklahoma. The Royals took their rural soils team, which consisted on Connor Miller, Jodie Jennings, Thomas Weithman and Lexie Wood. At the contest, they placed 70th out of 102 teams. Read More
