Into to hunting program offered July 15

FINDLAY — Anyone interested in learning about hunting or who would like to know more about public hunting opportunities in northwest Ohio is encouraged to attend a free informational program July 15, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Wildlife.

Riegle says goodbye to Riverdale, readies for retirement

MOUNT BLANCHARD — After 21 years of teaching full-time at Riverdale Local Schools, and 20 years of substitute teaching before that, Carol Riegle is saying “goodbye” to education and starting a new adventure — retirement. Riegle graduated from Bluffton College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics education. She explained that she chose education because she liked helping students become successful.

Commissioners look at solutions for dog shelter

The Wyandot County Commissioners met Thursday with the county’s dog warden, Andy Niederkohr at the Wyandot County dog shelter to address recent complaints about conditions at the shelter, which is connected to a barn. “The barn itself, for an old barn, is in pretty good shape,” Wyandot County Commissioner Bill Clinger said.
