Injuries reported in Wyandot Ave. crash An Upper Sandusky woman was injured following a two-vehicle crash Monday afternoon in Upper Sandusky. A crash report from the Upper Sandusky Police Department states John W. Miller, 68, of Upper Sandusky, was traveling eastbound on East Wyandot Avenue in a brown 2008 Buick Enclave when a silver 2012 Chevrolet Sonic driven by Jo A. Needles, 78, of Upper Sandusky, traveling westbound on East Wyandot Avenue turned left onto South Fourth Street, striking Miller’s vehicle at 2:19 p.m. Read More
Upper council plans visit to wastewater treatment plant Upper Sandusky City Council scheduled a visit to the construction site of the new wastewater treatment plant during its meeting Monday. City Council President Don Spiegel asked council members if they were free at 6 p.m. July 15 to visit the new plant. The date and time for the visit were approved. Carey council passes electric rates ordinance CAREY — Carey Village Council on Monday adopted an ordinance adjusting electric rates to make them simpler but not more expensive. The adjustment will raise the village’s kilowatt per hour energy charge, but get rid of the power supply cost adjustment charge, and as a result, residential electric bills will remain the same. It also will limit electric customers on the village’s electric system to a maximum of less than 10-kilowatt hours of electricity generation via solar panels or pay a higher rate. Carey man killed in weekend crash OAK HARBOR — A Carey man died Saturday following a two-vehicle collision on Ohio 19 north of Genzman Road near mile post 7 in Ottawa County.
