Sheriff Michael R. Hetzel has released his activity report for the month of June:

HARPSTER — Wyandot County first responders had the opportunity to receive special training Friday thanks to a local business.

At left: The Forest-Jackson Public Library brought several of the Toy Story characters to life on a float in Friday’s Tree Town Festival.

Several non-clinical departments of Wyandot Memorial Hospital will start the process of relocation to a hospital owned space at 245 Tarhe Trail, Upper Sandusky, starting this month, according to Ann Kemerley, who handles public relations at WMH.

Thursday a crowd gathered on the corner of the Wyandot County Courthouse lawn to celebrate the completion of the Courthouse Corner project, which was funded entirely by donations and designed, and built with the help of many volunteers.

The Wyandot County Museum was brimming Thursday evening with a crowd of around 100 people, all there to hear the personal stories of Neil Armstrong from a man who knew him from childhood — Upper Sandusky native, Dr. Konstantine K. Solacoff.

The Ohio Department of Transportation recently announced highway construction projects scheduled to occur within Wyandot County the week of July 15.

The Upper Sandusky Community Library Board approved a new fiscal officer at its monthly meeting Thursday afternoon.

Volunteers from the Riverdale football team move picnic tables, folding chairs and tables and other items into place at Gormley Park on Thursday in preparation for this weekend's Tree Town Festival in Forest.

Upper Sandusky Police Department A caller reported a semi truck parked in the roadway near Love’s Travel Stop the early morning of July 11. The responding officer was unable to locate the vehicle.
