A chance to shine

Wyandot Classics and Cruisers hosted its inaugural Show and Shine in the Park car show at Harrison Smith Park in Upper Sandusky Saturday. The show was originally planned for June 22 but was postponed due to flooding at the park.

Safety Blotter: July 22, 2019

An officer assisted Wyandot County EMS with a medical alarm on the 100 block of River Street the early morning of July 19. An Upper Sandusky woman had accidentally tripped her alert button while sleeping. A Harpster man reported a hit/skip accident on the 100 block of North Sandusky Avenue the morning of July 19. The man said he was calling in case the other party reported the accident and said he would fix a rear corner light on his vehicle himself.

Health department gives report for June

Kelli J. Owens, registrar of vital statistics at the Wyandot County Health Department, reports there were no births and 13 deaths in the county during June. Deaths include six females and seven males. Seventy certified birth and 58 certified death certificates were issued. Twenty-one burial permits were issued.

Dr. K.K. Solacoff M.D. shows to attendees of the Upper Sandusky Moon Landing Party Friday night a photo of his Boy Scout troop, which he was in with astronaut Neil Armstrong. Solacoff, an Upper Sandusky native shared stories about astronaut Neil Armstrong’s life.
