ODOT announces updates to county highway projects The Ohio Department of Transportation recently released an updated schedule of highway construction occurring within Wyandot County. Work is dependent upon weather conditions. U.S. 23 between CH 97 and the U.S. 30 interchange, north of Upper Sandusky, will be restricted to one lane in each direction through the work zone for pavement resurfacing. Public transportation launches in Wyandot County Public transportation was officially launched in Wyandot County on Wednesday morning with a ribbon cutting at the home base of Wyandot Ride Service, 100 S. Warpole St., Upper Sandusky. The Ohio Department of Transportation granted funds to the Hancock Hardin Wyandot Putnam Community Action Commission to expand public transportation offerings from Hancock County to Wyandot County. LaRose visits Wyandot Board of Elections Wednesday, Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose stopped at the Wyandot County Board of Elections to speak with staff, tour the facility and to discuss election security. LaRose spoke about the new security directive that, he said, was sent to all 88 election boards in Ohio’s a few months ago. The directive was created as a checklist to improve security, LaRose said, and election boards are responsible for enacting the directive by January, in order to boost election security. Read More
