The Safe Communities Coalition reported one local traffic fatality in July, the fifth fatal traffic accident in Wyandot County this year. Based upon a review of the incident, it appears the cause of the accident was associated with the conditions of a township road that was affected by flash flooding.

McCUTCHENVILLE – Trinity United Church of Christ is hosting its annual Lawn Fete from 4:30-7 p.m. Saturday in McCutchenville. BUCYRUS — The Ohio State Highway Patrol, in conjunction with the Crawford County Sheriff's Office, held an OVI checkpoint Friday. The checkpoint was conducted on CR 330 near U.S. 30 on the east side of Bucyrus.

Officers removed a bat from a residence on the 300 block of West Johnson Street the night of Aug. 16. John D. Lebay, Upper Sandusky, was arrested for OVI and cited for OVI refusal, expired registration and driving under suspension following a traffic stop at the intersection of Winding Hollow Lane and Indian Mill Drive the early morning of Aug. 17. A passenger, Evan W. Crabtree, Kenton, also was cited for expired registration.

A line of military vehicles sporting patriotic flags can be seen making its way to USHS. The convoy travels at top speed of 35 miles per hour and had 50 military vehicles, 10 support vehicles and 130 participants.
