County farmers offered a break at upcoming ‘Farmers Night Off’ event With heavy rainfall preventing area farmers from doing their jobs this spring, area businesses and individuals have joined together to give those affected a night off. The Wyandot County Farmers Night Off will be 6-9 p.m. Aug. 20 in the Masters’ Building at the Wyandot County Fairgrounds and will feature a free meal for all Wyandot County farmers and their families. Safety Blotter: August 5, 2019 Salome Gonzalez, Bronx, New York, was cited for failure to control after a one-vehicle accident on U.S. 23 near CH 42 the morning of July 26. Gonzalez was traveling northbound on U.S. 23 when he failed to negotiate a right turn onto CH 42, driving off the left side of the roadway on CH 42, striking a depressed ditch embankment and then a tree.
