Changes abound at Wynford BUCYRUS — Beyond changing grades and teachers, students, parents and community members can expect many new changes at the Wynford School District in the 2019-2020 school year. After Thursday’s Board of Education meeting, board members toured what will soon form into the new building as well as the changes that have been made at the Elementary School building, including all new windows with special safety features, fresh paint and new ceiling tiles, and several technological advances including all-new interactive flat screens that have replaced the school’s smartboard system, a new visitor check-in system, a new phone system and a new camera surveillance system. Upper man arrested for rape charges An Upper Sandusky man was arrested at his place of employment in Carey on a warrant for rape charges Wednesday afternoon. A report from the Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office states Michael L. Gossman, 43, was arrested without incident on a warrant issued out of Wyandot County Common Pleas Court for two counts of rape, a first degree felony. Read More

ODOT announces updated schedule for county projects The Ohio Department of Transportation recently announced the following highway construction scheduled to occur within Wyandot County. Work is dependent upon weather conditions. U.S. 23 between CH 97 and the U.S. 30 interchange, north of Upper Sandusky, will be restricted to one lane in each direction through the work zone for pavement resurfacing.
