Safety blotter: August 13, 2019 An Upper Sandusky woman reported a lost check book the afternoon of Aug. 9. The woman said she lost it somewhere in downtown Upper Sandusky and she had contacted her bank. A caller requested a welfare check on his daughter on the 600 block of Highland Parkway the evening of Aug. 9. The daughter was not home and the responding officer left a door hanger at her residence. The daughter later called the office and advised all was well and she had called her father. Read More
Two injured in two-train collision CAREY — Two were transported to Wyandot Memorial Hospital early Monday morning with suspected minor injuries after two trains collided near the Wyandot and Seneca County lines in northwest Wyandot County near Carey. A report of the collision was received by the Wyandot County Sheriff’s office at 5:22 a.m. Monday and Sheriff Mike Hetzel said early reports indicate that a northbound train carrying garbage and a southbound train carrying fracking sand collided when one of the trains failed to wait for the other to pass.
