Motorcyclist taken by Life Flight after Tuesday morning collision

Motorcycle crash

An Upper Sandusky man was transported via medical helicopter after a two-vehicle accident involving a motorcycle Monday morning in Upper Sandusky. According to a police report, Dylan Neff, 27, of Upper Sandusky, was traveling westbound on a Harley Davidson motorcycle on East Wyandot Avenue at 6:29 a.m. at an estimated 40 mph, when Aaron Stansbery, 24, of Upper Sandusky, who was traveling eastbound on East Wyandot Avenue in a 1997 Honda Civic, turned left into the Pilot station in front of him, causing a collision.

Also in old business, Stansbery reported he spoke with solicitor Richard Grafmiller about creating a property ordinance and said council could make the contract purely about grass but also could add in stipulations about garbage and other items if it wanted to.

Safety blotter: October 2, 2019

A caller reported their dog got loose on the 300 block of West Bigelow Street the early morning of Oct. 1. The responding officer located the dog and the owner took control of it. The owner was warned for dog at large. Aaron W. Stansbery, Upper Sandusky, was cited for failure to yield while making a left turn, after a two-vehicle crash on East Wyandot Avenue near Pilot station the morning of Oct. 1. An Upper Sandusky man was transported from the scene via Life Flight with suspected serious injuries.

Upper FFA takes 12th in state forestry

NELSONVILLE — Students from the Upper Sandusky FFA took 12th place as a team in the State Forestry Career Development Event held Saturday at Hocking College in Nelsonville. The Forestry CDE involves numerous activities related to the forest and forest products industry in Ohio that vary from year to year.

The Wyandot County Soil and Water Conservation District held its annual soil and water tour Monday morning. The tour featured four programs the department works on with area landowners, explaining the programs to area government officials including the Wyandot County Commissioners, State Rep. Riordan McClain and the Ohio Department of Agriculture Director Dorothy Pelanda.
