Council on Aging addresses area mayors

SYCAMORE — The Wyandot County Council on Aging and the Retired Senior Volunteer Program were the featured speakers at Tuesday’s Mayor’s Breakfast, which was held at Bowlmor Lanes in Sycamore. Wyandot Council on Aging Executive Director Sherri Wagner explained there is a 1-mill levy for the Council on Aging on the November ballot, which would be a $35 per year increase for owners of a $100,000 home.

Motorists reminded to ‘Share the Road’ this fall

Motorcyclists already know how much fun riding can be. They understand the exhilaration of cruising the open road and the challenge of controlling a motorcycle, but, remember, motorcycling can also be dangerous. Across the state, motorcyclists are traveling Ohio roads to enjoy the cooler weather and the beautiful fall foliage, which is why the Wyandot County Safe Community Coalition wants to remind all motorists to “Share the Road.”

Sycamore welcomes Ames to council

SYCAMORE — A new member of Sycamore Village Council was sworn in at Tuesday’s meeting. Shari Ames was appointed to council by Sycamore Mayor Vicki Weininger to serve the final two years of Summer Rhoad’s term. Rhoad resigned from council recently because she moved out of the village.
