HHWP Head Start hosts open house

HHWP Head Start hosted an open house Friday at the Wyandot Community Action Commission building, 559 S. Warpole St., Upper Sandusky. Parents interested in registering their children for the 2016-17 school year were able to bring their children to tour the facility, meet staff, participate in activities and pick up applications.

YOUNGSTOWN — Youngstown State University sophomore Taylor Fletcher, of Carey, is one of 43 students in the Williamson College of Business Administration to be inducted this year into the YSU chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma.

Sherman receives academic scholarship

WILMINGTON — Upper Sandusky High School senior Renee E. Sherman is the recipient of a $10,500 academic achievement scholarship to attend Wilmington College. She plans to major in agricultural business and agricultural communication.

Wharton Easter egg hunt winners announced

WHARTON — The annual Wharton Easter egg hunt recently was held at the Wharton Park. More than 40 children, ranging from birth through fourth grade participated in the hunt, which was sponsored by the Wharton park board and the Wharton Grow ‘n Learn Mothers Club.
