HHWP Head Start hosted an open house Friday at the Wyandot Community Action Commission building, 559 S. Warpole St., Upper Sandusky. Parents interested in registering their children for the 2016-17 school year were able to bring their children to tour the facility, meet staff, participate in activities and pick up applications.

ONTARIO — The Area Agency on Aging has home repair assistance available in Wyandot County for eligible individuals ages 60 and older. The home repair program offers help for those with a one-person home income of $1,829 or a two-person home income of $2,092 per month.

HelpLine of Delaware and Morrow Counties is looking for volunteers for its Sexual Assault Response Network program. Volunteers would serve in Wyandot County.

WILMINGTON — Upper Sandusky High School senior Renee E. Sherman is the recipient of a $10,500 academic achievement scholarship to attend Wilmington College. She plans to major in agricultural business and agricultural communication.

WHARTON — The annual Wharton Easter egg hunt recently was held at the Wharton Park. More than 40 children, ranging from birth through fourth grade participated in the hunt, which was sponsored by the Wharton park board and the Wharton Grow ‘n Learn Mothers Club.
