Movie about Tree Town speaker

FOREST — Learn the story of Travis Freeman during a showing of the movie “23 Blast” at 1 p.m. June 29 and June 30, and 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. July 6 at Forest-Jackson Public Library, 102 W. Lima St. Freeman will be the speaker at Tree Town Festival church in the park service at 10:30 a.m. July 9.

Pork chop barbecue to benefit USCL

Friends of the Library’s annual pork chop barbecue fundraiser is from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Bicentennial Park, 252 N. Sandusky Ave., Upper Sandusky. A $9 meal by Harlan’s BBQ and Catering includes two barbecue pork chops, baked beans, scalloped potatoes, a roll and water.

Music lesson

Bob Allison shares some of the unique musical instruments he brought with him Tuesday to Forest’s Gormley Park for the Forest-Jackson Library’s summer reading program.

Safety first

Forest Police Officer Thomas Hoying guides Gabrielle Jolliff through the course at the village’s Safety Service Day on Saturday. Children rode scooters as the officers instructed them in traffic safety through the course.
