STABLE accounts, trusts workshop set for Tuesday A special needs planning workshop focusing on STABLE accounts and special needs trusts is 6-8 p.m. Oct. 17 in the Angeline School and Industries cafeteria, 11028 CH 44, Upper Sandusky. Featured speakers are Eric Ochmanek, deputy chief of staff of the Office of the Ohio Treasurer, who will give a review of Ohio’s STABLE account features, benefits and eligibility, and Logan Phillips, an attorney for Resch, Root & Phillips LLC, who will discuss the Ohio STABLE account and how it works in conjunction with trusts as part of a special needs plan. Ohio Dept of Public Safety awards grant to WyCo Health Dept The Ohio Department of Public Safety’s Ohio Traffic Safety Office has awarded the Wyandot County Public Health Department $25,000 in federal traffic safety funding to conduct Safe Communities Grant Activities. Funding from the Safe Communities Grant is used to conduct education and awareness campaigns related to motorcycle safety, drinking and driving, seat belt usage and distracted driving. Read More
