Humane Society: April 9, 2019

The following report was prepared and submitted by the Wyandot County Humane Society on Monday and is correct as of that date. Pets reported as missing since the last report that have not been found include a female white and grey cat, a male tiger cat, a black and brown long hair retriever-shepherd mix, a brindle male Lab mix and a male Yorkie.

MTC, OSU hosting Take Back the Night

MARION — Marion Technical College and The Ohio State University at Marion invite the community to take a stand against sexual violence. The Take Back the Night event will be held 7–9 p.m. April 17 on the Marion campus at the Alber Student Center. This positive, empowering event celebrates survivors and showcases community groups combatting sexual violence.

Mohawk Elementary collecting pop tabs

SYCAMORE — Mohawk Elementary has accepted a challenge from Bucyrus High School Student Council to collect pop can tabs to support the Ronald McDonald House. Students will collect pop tabs and bring them into school. This competition began March 18 and will conclude Friday.

Members of Creative Pastimes met Tuesday morning at the Upper Sandusky Community Library to work on some of their favorite hobbies. The group meets from 10-11:30 a.m. the first and third Tuesday of each month.

Bucyrus library announces April events

BUCYRUS — The Bucyrus Public Library has announced its April calendar of events. The Lego Club’s monthly build day is 10 a.m., Saturday. Bring Legos or use the library’s supply. The monthly teen craft is 3-5 p.m., April 8, 11, 15, 18, 22, 25 and 29; and 4-6 p.m., April 9, 10, 16, 17, 23, 24 and 30. April’s craft is wire wrapping.
