Living Through Loss series continues tonight at BVH

FINDLAY — The 30th annual Living Through Loss educational series by Bridge Home Health and Hospice, a division of Blanchard Valley Health System, is currently underway. Presentations are held from 7-8:30 p.m. in the Marathon Auditorium at Blanchard Valley Hospital, located at 1900 S. Main St., Findlay.

Modern Woodmen donate to FELC

TIFFIN — The Franciscan Earth Literacy Center and Mission Advancement Office staff accepted an award of $2,500 for the FELC Center. Rebecca Shank of the Modern Woodmen presented the check to Katie Anne Clark, administrator of FELC, and Ann Keefe, grant writer for St. Francis Community.

Cooking matters featured

Seven community members recently completed the six-week Cooking Matters program held at St. Paul Lutheran Church. As part of the No Kid Hungry campaign to end childhood hunger in America, Cooking Matters teaches participants to shop smarter, use nutrition information to make healthier choices and cook delicious, affordable meals.

Campus notes: October 11, 2018

BATON ROUGE, La. — Rachel Haas, of Mount Blanchard, recently was initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. Haas was initiated at The University of Findlay. Haas is among approximately 30,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni to be initiated into Phi Kappa Phi each year.

Meeting minutes: October 11, 2018

The Sept. 20 meeting of the Wyandot County Senior Citizens Club was held at the Senior Center in Upper Sandusky with 19 members and one guest present for the monthly potluck dinner. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Wilma Krider, and the prayer before the meal was given by Mike Minor.
