WHOW holding women’s self-defense event

NEVADA — After the success of the first Women Helping Other Women series in January, the group is pleased to announce a summer event, from 6-8 p.m. Aug. 15 at White Shutter Winery, in Nevada. The event will feature two speakers, Megan Bair CNM from Wyandot Memorial Hospital, who will speak on human trafficking; and BJ Dunn from Carey, who will speak about women’s self defense and demonstrate some basic self-defense moves.

WCSWMD hosting open house August 17

The Wyandot County Solid Waste Management District and Recycling Center and the County Environmental of Wyandot Landfill are holding an open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 16 to celebrate their 30-year anniversary. Recycling center and landfill tours will be available.

Crawford Park District offering camping Friday

CRESTLINE — The Crawford Park District invites families to a fun night of camping in the park at its family tent camping event starting at 7 p.m. Friday at Lowe-Volk Park, 2401 Ohio 598, Crestline. Come any time after 5 p.m. to set up a tent around the pond at Lowe-Volk Park. Registration will begin at 7 p.m., with programs starting at 7:30 p.m.

Ryleigh Koehler

Ryleigh Koehler, of Upper Sandusky, is the mother of a daughter. Adelynne Marie Koehler was born at 1:22 p.m., July 11, 2019, at Tiffin Mercy Hospital in Tiffin. She was 19 inches long and weighed 6 pounds, 11.5 ounces. The maternal grandparents are Jerry and Lorie Koehler, and the great-grandparents are Vernon Koehler and Goldie Huffman.

The following report was prepared and submitted by the Wyandot County Humane Society on Monday and is correct as of that date. Pets reported as missing since the last report that have not been found include a male tri-color dog, and a black neutered male lab-boxer mix.
