SYCAMORE — The Mohawk Community Library recently announced upcoming events for the month of September. The library is closed Monday in observance of Labor Day.

TIFFIN — The Seneca County Genealogical Society is meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3 in the Frost-Kalnow Room of the Tiffin-Seneca Public Library. The program speaker is Thomas Neel presenting a program titled “Indians of Ohio: A Chapter in Native American Research.”

The Wyandot Tracers Genealogy Society, O.G.S. met Aug. 19 for its August meeting. The guest speaker was Christine Yetzer Drain. She is a professional genealogist, with a background in military intelligence and journalism.

MARION — For the second year in a row, Marion Technical College is starting fall semester with an increase in enrollment, bucking national trends. A total of 2,545 students started classes Monday with an increase of 6.5% from last fall.

The Rotary Club of Upper Sandusky is excited to again offer its homemade kettle corn at two events in September. Area residents can find their Rotary friends cooking fresh batches of corn just inside the main entrance of the Wyandot County Fair each afternoon from Sept. 9–15.  Large bags of kettle corn cost $5, and all proceeds go to the club in support of annual scholarships, and a vast array of community service projects that vary year to year.
