MOUNT BLANCHARD — By day she is the executive director of the Carey Chamber of Commerce, but by night, she writes fantasy and science fiction novels. Cassie Carlson AKA Cas Miller, was on hand at a craft show Saturday at Riverdale High School to sell and sign her latest books.

BUCYRUS — Anytime the Upper Sandusky girls basketball team has desperately needed a basket, one player, senior guard Abigail Fogle, has stepped up time and time again. After a floater by Lexington sophomore guard Gabby Stover brought the Minutemen within two points in the third quarter, Megan Hensel buried a deep 3-pointer from well beyond the top of the key and Abigail Fogle followed by hitting three of her seven 3-pointers the rest of the third quarter.

Carey debuts Legacy Lane HOF

CAREY — Carey High School debuted its Legacy Lane Hall of Fame on Friday thanks in part to a generous contribution from its class of 1968. Three influential women were inducted into the Hall of Fame, Michelle (Rickle) Bell, Jean Jacqueline “Jackie” (Kirkwood) Rickle and Mary Joseph (Kirkwood) Cesarini, and they all were related.

NORTH ROBINSON — With Upper Sandusky leading by three late in the game Friday night, Jevon Dible was not about to just sit back and wait for Colonel Crawford to force the action. Dible attacked the basket for a layup to give his team a two-possession lead for two of his game-high 21 points, and the Rams held off the Eagles, 62-55, in North Robinson to capture their third straight Northern 10 Athletic Conference boys basketball championship.
