BVH building clinic in Carey

CAREY — Ground recently was broken for the foundation of a planned $7 million medical clinic in Carey, an expansion of Blanchard Valley Health Systems in the area. The new medical center will be 15,800 square feet, nearly 10 times larger than the current 1,600 square-foot doctor’s office in Carey, which is practiced by Dr. Troy Puckett.

Students from Upper Sandusky, Carey and Mohawk high schools put on a DocuDrama Thursday at the Wyandot County Fairgrounds with a big assist from Wyandot County first responders. The event, which is organized for over four months to encourage students to make intelligent choices during prom season, was viewed by over 600 students from Upper Sandusky, Carey and Mohawk high schools, who were sitting in the grandstands.

A welcome and introductions were provided by Wyandot County Visitors Bureau Executive Director Sara Lou Binau and Carey Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Cassie Carlson.
