Mullholand places 10th in state high jump COLUMBUS — Finishing third at the state track and field meet as a freshman set high expectations for the future for Mohawk’s Taeylor Mullholand. Having a personal best height of 5-6 this year set the bar even higher. Mullholand entered the state meet this year hoping to improve upon her third-place finish last season. Although she cleared 4-10, 5-0 and 5-2, Mullholand wasn’t able to clear 5-3 on any of her three attempts and finished in 10th place Friday evening at Ohio State University’s Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium. Ratliff named Elks state president “Mark Ratliff has never done anything” — at least, that’s how he sees it. Ratliff was recently installed as the Ohio Elks Association state president for the 2019-2020 Elks year, which runs April to April. He is a current member of Elks Lodge No. 83, in Upper Sandusky. Kuenzli to serve time for drug trafficking charge An Upper Sandusky man was sentenced to 30 months in prison Wednesday for aggravated trafficking in drugs. Andrew Kuenzli, 28, was originally arrested Feb. 14 by the Wyandot County Major Crimes Unit after the unit became aware of a shipment of methamphetamine that was to be delivered to Upper Sandusky. He originally was charged with complicity and drug abuse, possession of cocaine, before pleading guilty to the reduced charge April 11. The drug abuse charge was dismissed. Read More
Blue Devils head to state in 2 relays CAREY — Effectively executing their handoffs, practicing their sprints after receiving the handoffs and improving their times have been the keys to the Carey boys 800 and 1600 relay teams’ success this season.
