A 40-foot by 40-foot section of First Citizen’s National Bank in Upper Sandusky between Sandusky Avenue and Seventh Street was demolished Tuesday afternoon.

The Wyandot County Health Alliance discussed the latest updates to its agenda at its quarterly meeting Tuesday morning at Wyandot Memorial Hospital. On the topic of mental health, Nicole Williams of the Mental Health and Recovery Services Board reported all schools in Ohio received funding for student wellness and success as part of the annual budget.

BUCYRUS — Wynford sophomore Averi McMillan not only contributed in the front row, but in the back row as well. McMillan tallied 12 kills on 24 attempts in addition to 13 digs to help lead the Wynford volleyball team to a 25-18, 25-15, 25-19 victory over Upper Sandusky on Tuesday at Wynford High School.

GALION — No matter what Upper Sandusky shoots, Seneca East seems to be able to do just one or two strokes better. The Tigers took the Northern 10 Athletic Conference tournament championship, and with it, the overall league title with a 328-330 advantage over the Rams Tuesday at Valley View Golf Course.

Wynford High School will hold its annual fall homecoming ceremony at 6:15 p.m. Friday. The homecoming dance is 8-10:30 p.m. Saturday in the high school cafeteria.

Injuries were sustained in a two-vehicle crash that occurred around 9:25 a.m. today at Eighth and Walker streets in Upper Sandusky. At least one person was taken to the hospital.

GALION — Mohawk had solid scores throughout its lineup and led area teams with a third-place finish Monday in the Northern 10 Athletic Conference girls golf tournament Monday at Valley View Golf Course. Seneca East edged Colonel Crawford for the tournament title 427-431. The Eagles nonetheless clinched at least a share of the overall championship but the Tigers can get a piece of the title if they can win dual matches this week against Wynford and Colonel Crawford.

FINDLAY — Riverdale’s Andrew Kuenzli was Blanchard Valley Conference tournament medalist and earned conference player of the year honors Monday in the league tournament at Findlay Country Club. Kuenzli on Monday shot a 76, by far the best score of the day. Liberty-Benton’s Seth Lasiter shot an 82 to finish as runner-up. Kuenzli, a junior, edged Lasiter, a senior, for league player of the year honors, with a 128-127.5 advantage in points, which includes results from BVC duals.

CONTINENTAL — Coby Miller had a hat track as the Riverdale boys soccer team remained undefeated with a 6-2 victory against Continental on Saturday at Continental. Miller scored unassisted goals in the 14th, 37th and 56th minutes as the Falcons (4-0-2) built a 6-0 lead. Tyler Hart scored in the second minute, Brayden Courtney in 32nd and Logan Frey in the 45th for Riverdale.

HARROD — One good half of football was not enough Saturday for Wynford to come away a winner against undefeated Allen East. The Mustangs dominated the first half and then held off the Royals 22-14 at Allen East.
