Upper Sandusky Mayor Scott Washburn addressed rival village Carey’s recent prank on the city at Monday’s Upper Sandusky City Council meeting. In advance of Saturday’s Battle of the Badges softball game between Upper Sandusky fire and police departments against Carey’s fire and police departments, representatives from Carey raised a Carey flag on the Upper Sandusky Municipal Building’s flagpole, Washburn reported.

Upper Sandusky High School will have a new traffic pattern for student pick-up and drop-off when classes begin Thursday. Superintendent Laurie Vent said at Monday evening’s school board meeting traffic around the school at those times in the past has been difficult.

The Whippets tied it before the Rams scored the final two points to take a 1-0 lead.

The national Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign brings fresh awareness annually to the dangers of drunk and impaired driving.
