The community came out and enjoyed the fun sounds of the marching band and engaging in school spirit at the Community Pep Rally on Thursday.

The employees of the Wyandot County Courthouse in Upper Sandusky received fire extinguisher training on Wednesday from Joel Hale of American Fire and Safety. Each employee had an opportunity to use a fire extinguisher on a test fire.

SYCAMORE — The Mohawk Board of Education was introduced to its most recently hired employee at Tuesday’s monthly meeting. Guidance counselor Angie McGinnis brought Luna, a golden retriever puppy in training for the Assistance Dogs for Achieving Independence program.

GALION — From top to bottom, Upper Sandusky has proven itself as the best boys golf team in the Northern 10 Athletic Conference. Led by three-time N10 player of the year Brett Montgomery, the Rams won the league tournament Tuesday at Valley View Golf Course to clinch the overall team championship.

As a graduate and former volleyball player at Wynford High School, Upper Sandusky volleyball coach Donielle Crall always looks forward to playing the Royals. She also coached the seniors on the 2018 Wynford volleyball team for one year when they were in seventh grade.

The Riverdale Falcons will play as the Wharton Dragons to celebrate Riverdale's heritage series game as a part of homecoming festivities this Friday.

GALION — Buckeye Central won its third straight Northern 10 Athletic Conference girls golf title on Monday but Wynford made it as hard as it’s ever been. After the teams split during the regular season, the Buckettes won the rubber match by edging the Royals in the N10 tournament, 421-424, at Valley View Golf Course.
