Science fair returns to Wynford

BUCYRUS — Wynford High School freshmen students Daniel Kurek and Natalie Stover will be the first students to represent the Royals at the March 23 District Science Fair at OSU Marion in 11 years, after receiving superior ratings on their projects at the Wynford Local Science Fair Saturday.

James Stone, a featured artist at the Art Connections Auction Fundraiser, encourages the crowd to bid more on his piece called “Roses Make People Love.” The annual auction, held this year at Moreno’s Vault in Carey, raises funds for the Angeline Industries Art Connections program, which supports individuals with disabilities in Wyandot County.

Members of the Riverdale High School Quiz Bowl team won the annual Hardin County meet at their school on Thursday evening. The students competed against teams from Ridgemont, Hardin Northern, Kenton, Upper Scioto Valley and Ada.

BUCYRUS — The Wynford boys basketball team played with high intensity early on senior night, but Upper Sandusky finished strong in every quarter to play spoiler and close out the regular season with a 62-44 victory over the Royals in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference game on Friday at Wynford.
