Several non-clinical departments of Wyandot Memorial Hospital will start the process of relocation to a hospital owned space at 245 Tarhe Trail, Upper Sandusky, starting this month, according to Ann Kemerley, who handles public relations at WMH.

Thursday a crowd gathered on the corner of the Wyandot County Courthouse lawn to celebrate the completion of the Courthouse Corner project, which was funded entirely by donations and designed, and built with the help of many volunteers.

The Wyandot County Museum was brimming Thursday evening with a crowd of around 100 people, all there to hear the personal stories of Neil Armstrong from a man who knew him from childhood — Upper Sandusky native, Dr. Konstantine K. Solacoff.

The Star Theatre in Upper Sandusky will have a familiar face in the cast for its next show, “Mary Poppins,” which opens July 26.

BUCYRUS — Upper Sandusky’s Brock Montgomery tied for eighth place in the 13-15 division of the Heart of Ohio Junior Golf Association tournament Wednesday at The Golf Club of Bucyrus.

The Stars and Stripes giving campaign for Open Door Resource Center is off to a strong start. Open Door Executive Director Scott Moore said the goal of the giving campaign is to raise money for the non-profit’s general fund.

NEVADA — With the condition of its village hall deteriorating, Nevada Council is considering its options, including the possibility of a new building. Council received a quote of $18,100 for repair work on the outside of the block building, and it expects a new roof, which may be needed sooner rather than later, would cost over $20,000, meaning total work on the building would be around $40,000.

Keeping the community healthy begins with the youth in that community, as well as understanding the roles that a healthy diet and lifestyle play in maintaining health. In the Mighty Ram Camp nutrition and fitness programs, students in kindergarten through eighth grade will not only participate in fun activities, but learn about the role nutrition and healthy diets play in maintaining proper health from people in the Wyandot Memorial Health SportsCare program.
