Carey Streetscape project to move forward in August
Carey Mayor John Rymer said at Monday night’s Carey Village Council meeting bids will be opened for the first phase of the Streetscape project Aug. 6.
Necessary paperwork has been filed, but Rymer said he does would not have a timeline on when work might start until he meets with Ohio Department of Transportation officials.
The village likely will be receiving some reimbursement from the Federal Emergency Management Agency for the costs of cleaning up from March’s large snowstorm....READ MORE |

Falcons show strong in Kenton Relays
KENTON — Riverdale’s track and field team had a strong showing at the Hardin County Track Meet on Monday afternoon.
The Falcons’ girls cruised to a team title with 183 points. Ridgemont (98) took second, and Kenton (96) finished third in the six-team field. The Wildcats edged out a 169-112.83 team title over Riverdale in the boys competition....READ MORE |

Carey girls 2nd at Liberty-Benton
FINDLAY — Carey’s girls track and field team shook off the wet weather and finished second at Saturday’s Liberty-Benton Invitational.
The host Eagles ran away with the girls team title, finishing with a 125.5-60 advantage over the Blue Devils.
