Fifth annual Flag City Train Show being held Sunday

FINDLAY - The fifth annual Flag City Train Show will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Northwest Ohio Railroad Preservation Inc.
The show will feature model trains, toy trains, railroad memorabilia and Thomas the Tank items for sale by various dealers.
Admission is $3 and children 12 years old and younger are free with a paid adult.
There will be HO and Lionel train layouts, as well as static displays of a full-scale motorcar and antique Erector sets. There also will be a 1920s-era B&O caboose open for tours.
Another feature are the Engine 901 quarter-scale live-steam train rides. Train rides are $1 per passenger.
Food and beverages will be available throughout the day and parking for the event is free.

Hypnotist-comedian coming to Forest

FOREST - Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1182 will be having some April Fool's fun as the post's auxiliary is presenting an April Fool's comedy night featuring certified master hypnotist Rick Allen, who brings his comedy hypnosis show to Forest at 8 p.m. March 29.
"You can expect to have a lot of fun, a lot of laughs and see your friends and co-workers participate in the show," Allen said. "This year's show is non-stop laughs and I'm excited to be coming to Forest on the 29th. Of course, no two performances are ever the same as we bring out different personalities from the participants in each show."
Allen is certified as a master hypnotist by the National Guild of Hypnotists and has appeared nationally with his unique brand of comedy.
The comedy night show is open to the public and seating is limited.
Tickets now are on sale at the VFW hall. Tickets are $10 in advance, with a $2 off coupon available from area merchants and businesses. The doors will open at 7 p.m. and the show will began at 8 p.m.
Tickets at the door are $12.
Food and beverages will be provided by the auxiliary.

Area children named winners of VFW Easter egg hunt

Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2842 recently released the names of the winners from the annual Easter egg hunt put on by the post.
Winners in the 1- to 3-year-old division were Blythe Danner, first place; Julio Satos, second place; and Edward Brown, third place.
Colton Breidenbach took first place in the 4- to 6-year-old division, with Gabby Satos taking second place and Emma White capturing third.
In the 7- to 10-year-old division, Katelyn Hildebrand took first place, with Rylan Donaugh and Mikayla Moore taking second and third place, respectively.
