Nancy Kukay presided over her final Wyandot Regional Planning Commission meeting Thursday night at the Upper Sandusky Community Library.
Kukay, who accepted a position as project manager with a new ethanol company in Van Wert, said she is happy with the work of the committee.
"It has been an honor," she said. "I have enjoyed my time with you. I respect your work and commitment."
The commission also thanked her for her time. Chris Bruynis temporarily is filling in for Kukay until a permanent replacement is hired. Commissioner Joyce Morehart said she wanted to encourage the Ohio State University Extension Office to make a hire soon so Bruynis does not ever-extend himself.
Kukay said she would be back, however, to see that the Wyandot County Zoning Task Force continues to make progress. The task force is scheduled to meet April 9. The task force will hold meetings in four different quadrants of the county within a two- or three-week span so citizens in those areas can give their opinions about the zoning resolution, Kukay said.

The Wyandot County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities passed a resolution at its regular meeting Monday night to approve the Angeline School and 12-month program year for Angeline Industries for 2008-09.
The first day of school for students in the fall will be Aug. 27 and they will return from Christmas break on Jan. 5, 2009. Spring break will be April 10-13, 2009 and the final day of school for the 2008-09 academic year will be May 29.
Make-up days are slated for June 1-5.
Angeline Superintendent Todd Dilley said students need to make up four calamity days this school year. The final day of school for students now will be June 5.
"As it stands, we have to make up four calamity days from the weather," Dilley said. "Barring any more winter weather or fog or those kinds of closures, we are needing to make up four calamity days."
The board also passed a resolution to renew a transportation contract with the Wyandot County Council on Aging for transportation services for eligible individuals in the Angeline Industries program.
