Time running out to register for PAL tourney

The Upper Sandusky Police Athletic League wrestling tournament will take place at 9:30 a.m. March 29 at Upper Sandusky High School, 800 N. Sandusky Ave., Upper Sandusky.
The tournament will be run under modified high school rules. It will be a double-elimination tournament, with two one and a half minute periods and a sudden death overtime if needed. All rounds start in the upright position.
First place finishers will receive a plaque, while second, third and fourth place finishers will receive a medal. There will be team awards for first, second and third place teams.
Weigh-ins for the tournament are scheduled from 6-9 p.m. March 27-28. A coach may call in weights for a wrestler who lives more than 25 miles away from Upper Sandusky or may e-mail them to bthornton@farmerscommission.com befroe 5 p.m. next Wednesday.
Acceptable dress for the tournament is a T-shirt and shorts or a singlet. No sweats are allowed.
The entry fee is $15 before Tuesday and will be $18 after that date. Registration will limit the tournament to 500 wrestlers. All registrations must have the entry fee attached, with the only exceptions being call entries from individual coaches.
Admission to watch the tournament is $3. Children younger than 12 get in free.
This tournament is a qualifier for the tournament of champions in Columbus. The tournament director has the right to combine or delete weight classes or divisions.

Wooster slates hoops camp

WOOSTER - The Wooster Basketball Camp for Girls at the College of Wooster now is taking registration for two camp sessions in June for students in fourth through 12th grades.
The first session is slated for June 15-18, and the second session is scheduled for July 13-16.
