Star Theatre to stage ‘Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)’
Rehearsals are well underway for the upcoming Star Theatre production of "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)" by Adam Long, Daniel Singer and Jess Winfield.
The show is sponsored by Bill Aubry of Edward Jones investments. The stage play will take the audience on a whirlwind tour of all 37 plays authored by William Shakespeare in approximately 97 minutes.
Portraying the characters are Danny Morales, Upper Sandusky; Charles Groth, Bloomville; and Matthew Feck, Tiffin.
The show has been revered by many as a comedy that the audience will not soon forget.
Show dates are April 11-13 at the Star Theatre.
Tickets are $9 in non-members and $7 for members. Tickets can be reserved starting Monday by calling 419-294-1411 and leaving a message. A theatre representative will return the call to confirm reservations.

Marketing winners

USHS DECA students compete in state event
Upper Sandusky High School students Fernando Salinas and Marc Franks recently won high awards in the Ohio DECA state marketing competition in Columbus.
Salinas, a junior, garnered third place in the food marketing series, which combined a food marketing test with a marketing related case study presentation. By finishing in the top three at the state level, Salinas won the right to advance to the DECA International Career Development Conference in Atlanta from April 26-29.
Franks, a senior marketing student, also won high distinction by capturing first place in the marketing management test, an event that does not advance past the state level competition.
Seniors Carrie Cusick and Shaina Victor also represented Upper Sandusky High School. Cusick competed in the automotive services series event and Victor competed in the marketing management test sequence.
Thirty-four juniors and seniors are members of the Upper Sandusky DECA chapter.
