Agriculture in Ohio may be connected to the economy more than most might think.
That was the message brought forth by featured speakers Jamie Gentry and Kristen Jenson on Tuesday at the annual Ag Week luncheon held at Trinity Evangelical United Methodist Church.
After all in attendance enjoyed a catered meal, Gentry, of the Ohio Department of Development, and Jenson, of the Ohio Department of Agriculture, spoke for about 20 minutes on the interrelations of agriculture and business.
The ODD deals with company expansion, retention and addition in Ohio, and Gentry said the ODD has been working more and more with the ODA.

That was just one of the many items of business that were discussed during the monthly Business Retention and Economic task force meeting Tuesday morning at Wyandot Memorial Hospital.
Chris Bruynis, an Ohio State University Extension educator and BR&E member, said those who invested in the theory of creating an economic development office met earlier this month and formed a subcommittee in an attempt to develop a business plan and business structure of the economic development office.
