
Jump, Dennis named to 1st team
Mohawk's Connor Jump and Carey's Michael Dennis lead a group of six area players who recently were honored on this year's All-Midland Athletic League boys basketball team.
Jump, who was the MAL player of the year in 2006-07, was picked for the second straight year as a first-team selection. The senior was third in the MAL in scoring, averaging 18.5 points per game. He also was considered one of the league's premiere defensive players, as he swiped a leagueleading 4.1 steals per contest.
Dennis, a sophomore, was second in the league in both points and rebounds. The Blue Devils' big man averaged 19.2 points and 11.2 rebounds per game, along with shooting at a 73.8 percent clip from 2-point range this season.

Clouse, Windau are top picks
Carey's Karrah Windau and Mohawk's Lindsey Clouse highlighted a group of area players who recently received the honor of being selected to the 2007-08 All-Midland Athletic League girls basketball team.
Windau, a junior, and Clouse, a senior, were both first-team selections for their respective teams.
Windau averaged 17.3 points per game for the Blue Devils and knocked down more than 52 percent of her shots from 2-point range. She also swiped three steals per contest on the defensive front.
Clouse, who scored more than 900 points during her career, averaged 17.2 points per contest in her final season. She also hauled in 5.3 rebounds per game for the Warriors.

Tickets on sale for Wynford regional game
BUCYRUS - The Wynford athletic department is selling boys regional semifinal basketball tickets during school hours beginning through Wednesday at noon.
The Royals play today's winner of Archbold and Genoa at 8:15 p.m. Wednesday at Bowling Green State University's Anderson Arena.
All pre-sale tickets are $6. Tickets at the door will be $8.
