
USHS graduate earns 5 points in indoor meet
ADA - The Bluffton University track and field teams recently opened up its 2008 indoor season by competing in the second Friday Night Series Meet at Ohio Northern University.
Senior Sarah Humphrey, an Upper Sandusky High School graduate, paced the Beavers' women team with five points. She placed fourth in the 5,000 meters in 20:09.76.
The Beavers' women's team finished seventh in the meet, while the men took sixth.
Bluffton returns to action this Friday at 5:30 p.m. at the Capital Invitational in Columbus.
Button night slated for next Tuesday's game
Upper Sandusky High School is holding Lady Ram basketball button night, beginning with the junior varsity game at 6 p.m. next Tuesday.
All fans who have purchased a 2007-08 basketball button and who wear it to the game will be admitted free of charge.
Tiffin hosting softball clinic
TIFFIN - Tiffin University is hosting a softball pitching clinic for ninth through 12th grade students from 12-2:30 p.m. March 2.
The clinic will be directed by Tiffin University head softball coach Brian Campbell and assistant coach Rachel Richardson. The clinic will include fundamentals such as pitching drills, pithces, mechanics, fundamentals of pitching and more.
The cost of the clinic is $50 per person.
All campers are asked to bring gloves and a catcher.
