A three-week visit from his parents not only helped emotionally, but it also gave Steven Snow a little boost to his basketball game.
The 6-foot-9 Upper Sandusky High School player came from Pohlheim, Germany to America for his senior season in hopes of building his soccer and basketball skills and to prepare himself for college. Adjusting to America has not been easy, but a visit by parents Rick and Martina Snow might have been just what Steven needed.
"It was very important for me," he said. "It meant a lot to me because I hadn't see them for seven months. I think it helped my game, too."

Republican McCain and Democrat Clinton move ahead, at least for now, in race for White House
CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - Republican John McCain on Sunday called the GOP contest "still very competitive" but said his South Carolina win gives him momentum heading into the next big battle in Florida. The Arizona senator and Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton won contentious nominating contests a day earlier.
McCain took a swipe at Rudy Giuliani, who avoided the early primary states to make his first big stand in Florida, which votes Jan. 29. McCain said he expected to come under heavy criticism from the former New York mayor.
"If someone hasn't run a primary, I can understand why they would attack the front-runner," McCain told reporters at a news conference.

WILLARD - Kalee Frey helped the Upper Sandusky girls basketball team take the lead, Rebecca Gamby helped the Rams keep it and Clare Aubry put Willard away Saturday in a 57-40 victory.
Frey scored nine of her 15 points in the first quarter, Gamby scored 13 of her 17 points in the middle two quarters, and Aubry had all but two her 10 points in the final nine minutes of the game.
"There was too much Kalee Frey in the first quarter and Rebecca Gamby in the second quarter, and too much Clare in the fourth," Willard coach Barry Pfahl said.
