Cleaning up debris
A fireman picks up debris from a multi-vehicle accident Monday night on East Wyandot Avenue at Comfort Inn Lane between Pilot Travel Center and McDonald's. Judy A. Stewart, Nevada, driving a 1993 GMC Safari XT, was cited for failure to yield after she pulled out from Gas America into the path of a 2004 Jeep Wrangler, driven by Donald R. Branham, Shelby. Stewart's vehicle was pushed into a 2007 Chevrolet Uplander, operated by Pamela J. Lanker, Carey, which was waiting at the stop sign on Comfort Inn Lane. Wyandot County EMS transported a 6-year old and an 8-year old to Wyandot Memorial Hospital after they were extracted from Stewart's vehicle by Wyandot County JAWS. Branham also was transported to WMH.

Nevada could be digging deep into budget for potential cleanup
By AARON KORTE

NEVADA - There must have been no entertaining options on television Monday night because the Nevada Village Council meeting brought out nearly two dozen people to observe in a crowded council chambers.
What they learned was that the village potentially could be footing the bill to check for contamination where the village used to have two underground gas tanks.
Mayor Wayne Pelter said the property, which is where the current fire hall sits, was cleaned up in 1995 when it was discovered that a gas tank there had a leak. When the tank was removed, it was discovered there was another tank buried there. Both were removed, as well as 100 tons of dirt.
