The judge on Wednesday agreed to set 23-year-old Brittany Pilkington’s trial date for mid-October and says it could last up to four weeks. The Bellefontaine mom has pleaded not guilty to three counts of aggravated murder. Prosecutors have said Pilkington confessed to all three murders. She faces the death penalty if convicted. Pilkington remains jailed on $1 million bond. A motion hearing is expected in mid-July. Pilkington’s husband has pleaded not guilty to sexually assaulting her when she was a teenager. The Associated Press generally does not identify possible victims of sexual assault, but Pilkington’s name and image have been widely published.
