Higher gas prices sticking around

COLUMBUS (AP) — A sharp rise in gas prices last week has Ohio motorists paying more as a new work week begins.
The average price for a gallon of regular gas was $3.85 in today’s survey from auto club AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and Wright Express. That is about 11 cents more than a week ago.
Ohio motorists have seen continuously rising prices this summer, and Hurricane Isaac’s swamping of the nation’s oil and gas hub along the Gulf Coast last week gave prices another bump.
The average gas price in Ohio is about 16 cents more than a year ago.
Nationally, the average price for regular gas is about $3.82 — 6 cents higher than last week.
