WASHINGTON, D.C. — Congressman Bob Latta, R-Bowling Green, recently was awarded the “Spirit of Enterprise” award by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for his support of free enterprise.
“I am pleased to accept this prestigious award from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce,” Latta said in a written statement. “As a steadfast advocate for pro-growth policies, I believe policies that allow businesses to innovate and create jobs are what will get our economy back on track.”
According to a news release from Latta’s office, the award is given annually to members of Congress who score 70 percent or higher on key votes as determined by the U.S. Chamber. Latta scored 92 percent for the second session of the 112th Congress and has a cumulative score of 90 percent.
“In the face of high-stakes politics and difficult choices, Rep. Latta provided America’s job creators with a strong voice in Congress,” said Thomas J. Donohue, president and CEO of the U.S. Chamber. “This award recognizes Rep. Latta for consistently demonstrating his support for pro-growth policies.”
The U.S. Chamber is the world’s largest business federation representing more than 3 million businesses and organizations of all size, sector and region, the release said.
