Death row killer in hospital
On what had been his scheduled execution date, a condemned killer remains hospitalized in Ohio following an overdose of pills.
Prison system spokeswoman Julie Walburn said Tuesday that 43-year-old Lawrence Reynolds Jr. is still in a Youngstown hospital. She said an update on his condition would be released later.
Reynolds was sentenced to die for killing his neighbor near Akron in 1994. He was found unconscious around 11:30 p.m. Sunday at the Ohio State Penitentiary in Youngstown.
He took the pills despite being under a 72-hour watch.

Jerome Township Fire Chief Scott Skeldon said a search began after the plane failed to make a scheduled refueling stop at the Union County Airport.
The red single-engine 2007 Evektor-Aerotechnik SportStar Plus was found in a wooded area about 8:30 p.m. The patrol said it was owned by Greenwood Flying Club LLC of Indianapolis.
Schwarzenegger: Adults should help kids get fit today
California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has told an Ohio audience that adults who enjoy staying fit need to inspire young people, to help fight childhood obesity.
The body builder and former movie star spoke Sunday to people attending an annual sports festival in Columbus that bears his name.
Schwarzenegger said childhood obesity leads to high health care costs, which are best brought down through "prevention, prevention, prevention," as he put it. He added that that’s what the Arnold Sports Festival is all about.
The three-day fitness event that ended Sunday has grown out of a relatively small bodybuilding contest in Columbus that Schwarzenegger won 40 years ago.
