Youth hunt to be held Oct. 26

The Wyandot County chapter of Pheasants Forever will hold its annual youth pheasant hunt at the Dave Courtad farm, 4757 CH 55, Upper Sandusky, on Oct. 26.
This event is free to boys and girls 11 to 18 years old. To be eligible to hunt, the participant must have completed a hunter safety course and be accompanied by an adult. Each hunter will have an hour to hunt with a trained bird dog and handler to try to bag two pheasants.
First-time hunters and those who have not received applications in the mail may call 740-482-2463. If the answering machine answers, leave a message with name and phone number.
There are limited entries and they will be handled on first-come, first-served basis. Those accepted will be notified the week of the hunt as to when their starting times will be.
Snacks and refreshments will be served by the Wyandot County Pheasants Forever.
For dates and time of hunters education classes in the area call 1-800-WILDLIFE.
