Warriors win 1st girls match at Lincoln Hills

Mohawk’s Chelsea Clinger watches her tee shot off of No. 1 at Lincoln Hills Golf Course on Tuesday. Clinger shot a 52 and the Warriors defeated Danbury in the first-ever girls golf match at the course.

In the first high school girls golf match in the history of Lincoln Hills Golf Course, Mohawk defeated Danbury, 218-265, on Tuesday.
Katelyn Kinley led the Warriors (5-0) with a 46. Chelsea Clinger shot a 52, Michaela Cook scored a 54 and Brooke Weininger and Heaven Immele each had 66s to count as Mohawk’s final result in the team score.
Hannah Harrison (70) and Bri Thiery (76) also competed for Mohawk.
Scores for Danbury were not submitted.
The Warriors have their second home match of the season against Buckeye Central at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at Lincoln Hills.
