Mohawk’s Clara Adelsperger spikes the ball past a Lakota blocker on Tuesday night. Adelsperger had a complete match that included an assist, a block and four digs in the Warriors’ three-set victory.
SYCAMORE — Sarah Parker and Kasey Adelsperger each had nine kills as the Mohawk volleyball team rolled to a 25-11, 25-8, 25-6 victory against Lakota on Tuesday night.
Julie Adelsperger served five aces and added six digs and five kills. Ashley Parker dished out 25 assists and had a pair of aces for the Warriors (5-1, 2-0 Midland Athletic League).
Defensively, Lynsey Trusty led the way with 13 digs.
In junior varsity action, Mya Morris and Aubrey Ward had four kills each. McKenzie Sowers finished with 12 digs and seven aces.
Mohawk won the freshman match, 25-21, 24-26, 25-16. Ali Weinandy finished with seven kills, three aces and four digs.
The Warriors play at 6 p.m. Thursday at Hopewell-Loudon.
