Warriors’ Adelsperger earns All-Ohio 2nd-team honors

Mohawk pitcher Kasey Adelsperger received second-team All-Ohio accolades as she tossed four no-hitters for the 21-6 Warriors. She went 19-5 with 197 strikeouts and a 1.02 ERA in the circle, while batting .459 and slugging six home runs and 30 RBIs.

COLUMBUS — Mohawk’s Kasey Adelsperger received Division IV second-team All-Ohio softball accolades.
The sophomore pitcher tossed four no-hitters this season as the Warriors went 21-6 this season, earning a share of the Midland Athletic League championship and a berth in the regional finals.
Adelsperger went 19-5 with a 1.02 ERA this spring and struck out 197 batters in 158 innings. She only allowed 109 hits on the year. Offensively, Adelsperger hit .459, reached base at a .500 clip and slugged a .753 percentage. She also hit six home runs and drove in 30 runs.
Also earning honors out of the MAL were conference player-of-the-year outfielder Taylor Kirian, of New Riegel, and Hopewell-Loudon infielder Lauren Trumpler, both earning first-team all-state accolades.
Lakota pitcher Abby Durst joined Adelsperger on the second team, while North Baltimore catcher Ricci Emahiser and New Riegel outfielder Paige Noftz were both honorable mention.
